📣 Faculty of Public Health Empowers Entrepreneurs to Create Healthier Menus and Combat NCDs Through Better Nutrition

⭐️ On May 25, 2026, the Faculty of Public Health, Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, organized the project “Health Promotion through Food, Nutrition, and Entrepreneurial Capacity Building for the Prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)” at the NRRU GSB INNOVATION CENTER.
⭐️ Asst. Prof. Arnut Jaisamrarn, Ph.D., Vice President for University Council, Special, and International Affairs, presided over the opening ceremony. During the event, Ms. Naruemon Wechjakwen, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Public Health presented the project objectives and implementation plans. The program also featured special lectures on the current NCD situation in Thailand, the role of businesses in promoting health and disease prevention, and the importance of entrepreneurs in developing healthier food menus to reduce disease risks.
⭐️ The sessions were delivered by experts from the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Public Health Office, including Ms. Thanatsamon Panuphornphong, Head of the Non-Communicable Diseases and Disability Control Group, and Ms. Thamon Wacharamethapong, Senior Public Health Academic from the Consumer Protection and Public Health Pharmacy Group.
⭐️ The project reflects the Faculty of Public Health’s commitment to promoting health awareness, preventive healthcare, and proactive behavioral change in response to the growing challenges of non-communicable diseases, which continue to impact both public health and the national economy.
⭐️ In addition, the initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of food entrepreneurs in preparing healthier meals with reduced sugar, fat, and sodium content in accordance with Department of Health guidelines. The program also encourages the development of food standards that meet “Healthy Menu” criteria and food safety standards, contributing to the creation of healthier organizations, communities, and sustainable societies.
