M1132 Stryker Engineer Squad Vehicle (ESV)
The M1132 Stryker Engineer Squad Vehicle (ESV) is a specialized combat engineer variant of the Stryker 8×8 armored vehicle family, designed to support mobility, counter-mobility, and survivability operations for Stryker Brigade Combat Teams (SBCTs) of the U.S. Army.
Primary Role
The M1132 ESV enables combat engineers to:
Conduct route clearance and obstacle reduction
Support breaching operations under fire
Perform explosive hazard mitigation, including mines and IEDs
Provide protected transport for an engineer squad in frontline conditions
