Tonight we took our 3 big kids to Wild Lights and had a great time!

Here are our top tips // things to know (they’re open through January 7 so still lots of time to go!):

1️⃣ Buy tickets online ahead of time *but* know that if you’re unable to make your purchased ticket time, you can use your tickets for a different date. Simply take the tickets to the ticket window, they will scan them and adjust the price if needed.
2️⃣ Skip the overpriced light up toys and bring your own. We got a of glow sticks and light up toys including glasses, wands, headbands etc) from and for a fraction of the cost.
3️⃣ Dress in layers - we did snow pants, boots, a fleece, winter jacket, gloves and hats.
4️⃣ Grab a pretzel 🥨 and hot chocolate ☕️ (parents - you can order it spiked!). The pretzel was one of the best we’ve ever had.
5️⃣ The Toyland section had the perfect amount of activities without being overwhelming including glow in the dark teeter totters, an igloo with information about animals, fire pits and lots of photo ops.
6️⃣ If you have a wagon or stroller, bring it. We went without and did fine but especially for younger kiddos, you’re going to want an option other than walking.

Any questions or tips of your own? Drop them below! ⬇️

It’s Fave Friday and the sun is sorttttt of starting to peek out again!

Jamie, mom of 3 (6, 3, and 5 months) shares: We love to visit White Lotus Farm in Ann Arbor! My girls always get excited to grab a croissant the size of their face and I enjoy sipping an iced coffee while the older 2 feed cute little goats (and a llama!). It’s a simple activity that my kids could do for hours if I’d let them! It can be free or very inexpensive if you’re looking for a weekly activity. Sometimes we take home fresh goat cheese or homemade bread from the market as well! Recently we discovers that deliver to White Lotus and sells it by the slice too! Best cheesecake in town by far!! White Lotus is family/kid friendly, has caffeine, and the goats are adorable… you can’t go wrong.

Now that we’re already a few weeks into the season, here are our top tips for going to a Michigan football game with kids:

🔵 Everyone needs a ticket, no exceptions.
🟡 Strollers are not allowed. If you’re bringing your baby, plan on bringing a carrier.
🔵 Bags are allowed but restrictions do apply. Ours usually just contain empty water bottles + our kids prescription meds. Bags will be searched and tagged at entry.
🟡 Consider bringing a refillable (but empty) water bottle. There are water filling stations inside the stadium.
🔵 Plan to have a snack or meal before and/or after going to the game. It’s a big event that requires proper fuel - the last thing you want is to be dealing with a hangry kid 😉
🟡 Get there early if possible. Kids love to watch the marching band, pre-game announcements and (if you’re lucky!) a flyover.
🔵 From the website: Guest Services offers a Child and At-Risk Adult ID Wristband Program during large-scale events held at Michigan Stadium. Important information, such as a contact number and seat location, can be written on the wristband. Available at guest services at gates 2, 4, 8, 9 & 10.
🟡 Baby changing areas & a lactation room available on site.
🔵 Maize and blue attire recommended, but not required 😉

Have a question about stadium policies and/or procedures? Check their very comprehensive website 🙃

It’s Fave Friday! Local mom, Sari, shared a few of her family’s favorite places around town:

Michigan Firehouse Museum - we love checking out all of the different types of trucks with our truck obsessed toddler

- just down the street from the museum in Ypsilanti’s Depot Town

West Park - we love the playground & walking to check on the turtles and fish

Thanks so much for sharing your faves, Sari!
