Jay Fleming got a great shot of Nugget and David Sites while out on the Bay.

Nugget is enjoying the end of his adventure with David as he prepares to go back on duty with Drew and Debby on Saturday.

May you always have a beacon to bring you safely home.

Thank you to David for all you do not only for the Shoal family but for the lighthouse and the Chesapeake Bay.

Thank you to Jay for this beautiful photo and for helping to highlight the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay and the people who make their living upon her waters.

On Tuesday Drew joined Nugget on his adventure once again and together they were a part of the Maryland Tourism Coalition Maryland Road Trip Day, visiting the Piney Point Lighthouse museum!

They made new friends, Bearyland the Bear and Sid the Osprey!

Situated on the Potomac River, this is a picturesque setting that is steeped in history. Visit the museum to learn about the history of the light station and it's keepers. Climb the lighthouse and see the keepers quarters. And, top off your visit with a visit to the Potomac River Maritime Exhibit!

Did you know there is a German U-Boat that lies beneath the surface of the Potomac? Intrigued? Well, plan a day trip to find out more!

And as an added bonus, the gift shop now carries Drew's Grand Adventure and Drew's Grand Coloring Book!

A huge thank you to all who made our day so wonderful! We appreciate all of you for making time for us and being so accommodating.

Nugget was back at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum today! He learned about wooden boat building, visited the Hooper Strait Lighthouse and got to help captain the Patriot, which cruises the Miles River and offers not only beautiful views but some history as well!

He would like to extend a warm thank you to all staff at the museum and on the Patriot for being so welcoming. Both trips have been a wonderful experience!

A wonderful morning was had. Thank you to Captain Miles and the entire crew of the Pride for being so gracious.
If you want to see more photos, well, you have to wait for the book 😉. Stay tuned!

In celebration of our new state shark, the Megladon, the largest shark that ever lived, Nugget is reminiscing on his time at the Calvert Marine Museum...and realizing just how large these sharks were!

He cannot wait to go to Calvert Cliffs and find some of his own Megladon teeth!

Nugget was tonging for Oysters today. Can anyone guess where he was on today's adventure?

Drew and Debby know...but they won't tell 😉

****Update*** Thank you Adam Stevenson , who knew that Nugget was at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum yesterday! He tonged for oysters, learned about harvesting seafood from the Bay, tried his paw at catching eels and trying to tie knots! A great day indeed, made better by the wonderful staff who helped make his day great! A big thank you to them! And, stay tuned because there will be more with CBMM...and just maybe Drew will be involved!
