JBO 2026-2027 Season Reveal: MOTETS & MADRIGALS, MAY 1 & 2, 2027

JBO’s chamber choir and recorder ensemble perform sacred motets and secular madrigals from the Renaissance through the late Baroque. We start our tour in Italy and make our way northward through France, Germany, and England, exploring works of Palestrina, Gesualdo, Arcadelt, Praetorius, Schutz, Bach, and more. Taking a cue from nature, JBO presents Flora & Fauna featuring guest artist, Vicki Boeckman, recorder, in Vivaldi’s Concerto in D Major, “The Goldfinch”. Also featured are Telemann’s Violin Concerto in A, “The Frogs”, and a very special collaboration with Grants Pass High School chamber orchestra at our concert in Grants Pass! Do you have a special talent for early music or know someone who does? Auditions are open for talented professional singers and instrumentalists for the 2026-2027 season! We will hear any instrument/vocal type, but some specific needs are vocal soloists in all vocal types, natural horn, Baroque oboe, Baroque Bassoon, Baroque recorder, and chalumeau. JBO is a paid, professional Baroque orchestra that performs at A415 on period instruments. We present four concerts per year in Medford, Ashland, and Grants Pass in Southern Oregon. For best consideration please submit your audition by July 1st. More information: JeffersonBaroque.org/Audition.

THANK YOU to our wonderful audiences in Medford and Ashland for a memorable weekend presenting Keyboard Fantasy! Audience members were invited to come see and even play the six unique keyboard instruments featured at the end of each concert.
