“In my art I wish to have the spirit of sacred rebellion and passion like the child who takes the blue crayon and scribbles in the book of common prayer at Sunday church.”

Toni’s work is a masterclass in organic texture and mystical tranquility. This serene oil portrait blends seamlessly into its live-edge wood canvas, beautifully framed by copper, delicate feathers, preserved moss, and beadwork—creating a soulful dialogue between the human heart and the Mother Nature.

We’re stoked to welcome Toni Taylor to Artful ATL 2026!🥳
”I’ve been an artist since I could hold a crayon and it’s been my passion ever since. I prefer using the term ‘Life taught’ vs self taught, as life.. the people I encounter, the creativity I’m exposed to, inspiration from those I’ve admired along with so many different experiences continues to teach me everyday. I’m especially interested in esoteric/metaphysical teachings and am a lover of nature, fantasy, visionary and science fiction subject matter. I have a 40+ year history of commercial illustration, fine art, scenic painting for places like Disney and Universal Studios, teaching workshops and private coaching. It is my desire to continue creating work that inspires others, brings joy and serves to elevate the planet in some way as I feel we’d be lost as a species without art.”

We’re excited to welcome back Makala Fields to Artful ATL 2026! 🥳
Makala Fields is an Atlanta-based mixed-media artist and educator whose work explores storytelling, Black womanhood, identity, and emotional healing. Through collage, texture, and found imagery, she creates layered visual narratives that reflect cultural memory, resilience, and personal transformation. Her intuitive process blends paper, paint, fabric, and symbolic elements to honor both individual and collective experiences. As both an artist and educator, Fields views art-making as a form of self-care and community connection, inviting viewers to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with their own stories.
