We need volunteers for San Jacinto Night! The event is Saturday, April 15 at the Skybox on 6th at 501 West 6th Street. We have a total of 10 spots. 5 for Check-in and 5 for clean-up. First Responders hold a special place in the hearts at theCHIVE, which is why every Friday for the last decade, they have opened their doors to welcome us in for Happy Hour.

This Friday happens to be a little more unique - not only because they are hosting one heck of an event to kick off SXSW, but because they are creating a special charitable activation for the 13th Annual San Jacinto Night event benefiting the Austin Firefighters Relief and Outreach Fund.

So come out and join us to view one of the most impressive art collections at one of the coolest offices in Austin, enjoy some craft tequila cocktails, and support our local Firefighters.

Alright folks, we are just as bummed as you are about not having this incredible event to celebrate this Friday.
We want to do something special to say we miss you. What are your suggestions?
Maybe we can get you, our amazing guests, to posts pictures of you and your dates (Families? Pets?) having a nice evening celebrating our membership in something larger than ourselves? Maybe you can raise a toast to our AFD Medal Recipients? How about celebrating AFD Tradition? What about saluting our crews and recognizing how we operate as a second family?
We miss you all dearly. We are working to reschedule the event for a later date so don't lose hope!
