[This Friday - September 2nd] Artist, Tom Novak, will present his latest work at Royal Artisan 1908 Main St, Talk begins at 6pm. Reception until 8pm. Art will be displayed throughout the month of September.

From Tom Novak: Obviously I decided not to wait to post this other painting. I'm not always certain I can successfully manage get an image of the piece from the studio onto the computer for facebook, but I did it, so here is the other new painting ... still wet.

Did I mention the show of my works coming up in September? Well, this painting will be in that show too.

From Tom Novak: Here's a small, heavily pruned something or other that someone dug up and tossed out. It looked lovely to me, art waiting to happen ... so I took it and painted it's portrait. I've got another one of a small tree aa neighbor dug up and tossed. So beautiful. I'll post that one in a day or two. And of course this piece and sooo much more will be in the show of my paintings in September, at Royal Artisan on Main Street in Baker City Downtown ... or have I mentioned that already.

From Tom Novak: The first picture of the new sculpture, if you can't tell it's a telephone pole. You know how we staple all kinds of yard sale, garage sale, estate sale, free puppy signs all over these strategically placed advertisement forums ... well the signs stapled all over this pole will be all about kindness and quotes from those much wiser than I talking about brotherhood and harmony, etc. And there will be an assortment of things one might find on and around a telephone pole, like a basketball hoop, a deflated basketball sitting at the base, all manner of trash like paper coffee cups, lids, straws, cigarette butts, and much more. More to come. Enjoy.

From Tom: Two more additions to the series of paintings resulting from the Saturday live model drawing sessions at Churchill. There are about 13 paintings in all - so far. All of them as well as other newish paintings will be in the show of my work at Royal Artisan Gallery in September along with the early stages of a new sculpture. Enjoy.
