Best of Baltimore is back for 2026.

Quid Nunc Art Gallery, in partnership with Create Baltimore, is now accepting applications for B:26 — Best of Baltimore 2026, our juried exhibition celebrating Baltimore’s artists and the work shaping the city’s creative community.

Applications are officially open and will close September 11 at 5:00 PM. Selected artists will be notified on September 30, with the exhibition opening at Quid Nunc on October 16.

JustRo is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work confronts the complex interplay between personal identity, culture, and the weaponization of history. His practice is deeply informed by a personal journey of navigating the “phantom wounds” of inherited historical trauma, a theme he explores through a unique combination of allegorical painting, documentary portraiture, and storytelling through digital and print media.
 
By weaving intimate psychological narratives with sharp sociological commentary, JustRo’s work captures the feeling of living in a world where one’s reflection is deliberately blurred. JustRo’s art argues that the act of creating is an act of resistance, and that mending the fractured narratives of the past is essential for building a more honest future.
 
Our featured Baltimore MET Gala artist of the day is Just Ro. Just Ro will be doing the live painting at the Baltimore MET Gala during the event. Please join us on August 29th at LIVE! Casino.
