My giant linocut "Backyards in Winter" is on display through August 11 at Woodstock Artist Association and Museum, 28 Tinker Street, Woodstock, NY. This annual national juried exhibition, "Far and Wide", can be viewed Thurs.-Sun. 12-5. (845) 679-2940. A lot of variety from around the country. Interesting show!

My Linoleum Block Print entitled "Village Morning"(image size 17" x 21") will be on exhibit at the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild's annual members exhibition "Convergence" at 36 Tinker Street, Woodstock, NY. The opening reception is on Saturday, March 9th from 4 till 6pm. If you come, please say hello! (This all media show of local fine artists and crafters continues through April 20th.)

Learn to transfer your design, carve and print, while making aesthetic judgments to create a strong, impactful work of art ~ and have fun doing it! So many subjects and styles to explore. Lots of individual attention, all levels of experience.

I (Karen Whitman) am pleased to announce that the R. W. Norton Art Gallery, a specatcular art museum in Shreveport, LA, has devoted a wall in their new contemporary wing to the exhibition of my work. The show will continue into mid-year 2020. Here is a video that pans the room I share with Kadir Nelson, Frank Benson, Andrea Kowch, Donna Diamond, George Gallo, Hannah Lee, Daniel Mark Cassity and Richard Avedon.

We have now closed the gallery in Woodstock. Karen Whitman and Richard Pantell are now preparing for a two person Chelsea (NYC) exhibition entitled "City Stories". The opening reception (We'll be there!) will take place on Thurs., April 7, from 6PM-8PM at The Walter Wickiser Gallery at 210 Eleventh Ave. at W. 25th St. The show runs from April 2-27 (Tues. - Sat., 11-6). "Engine Co. 23", a linoleum block print currently on view at Karen Whitman's "Rooftops, Streets and Bridges" solo exhibition at Bearsville Graphics / Karrick Fine Art at 68 Tinker Street in Woodstock, NY, through September 20th. It is dedicated to the brave firemen who gave their lives on 9/11/01. This house lost 12 men that day. The purple bunting over the door indicates men lost in the line of duty. (c) Karen Whitman
