🦊 Attention animal care professionals. This one is for you! Friday, September 11th from 8:30-2:30.

📣 This is an exclusive event curated for nature center animal care professionals and educators who want to learn and grow their knowledge and skills in the field.

🫱🏼‍🫲🏽 Please join us at Hungerford Nature Center & Museum for a full day of learning and skill-building especially curated towards nature center animal care professionals and educators! We will have four sessions with two topics per session and lunch provided.

🌱 We are honored to have Dr. Allison Bloom, exotic animal veterinarian and practice owner of Kensington Bird & Animal Hospital as our keynote speaker. Other topics will cover communicating animal care values to your organization, licensing requirements, proper animal handling, creating bioactive enclosures, working with non-releasable wildlife, and training and enrichment with animal ambassadors.

📢 As the weather shifts towards the cool season, our hours are making a small shift as well. Beginning tomorrow, 9/1 we will be open from 10am-4pm, Tuesday through Sunday, and remain closed on Mondays.

📍This is for 9-12 year olds for next week 8/3-8/7 and the week after 8/10-8/14. We are typically booked full, so this is a great opportunity to get your kids into summer camp to experience either themes: “Animals Around the World” or “Wild About Water”.
