It’s time to share the last of the windows I painted at Julie’s Place in Murphy, NC.

Sweet little cardinals resting on branches, ladybugs fluttering through clover fields, and blueberries growing strong. 🐞🫐☘️

Nothing is quite like the feeling of summertime! And with the sun rolling back in next week, I’m looking forward to all the new pieces coming soon. ☀️

You heard it ladies and gentlemen- it’s not too late to get your windows painted! 😉

The America 250 Window Decor Contest deadline was Monday, May 25. We do realize that it rained almost every day leading up to this deadline. That's why we are giving everyone the remainder of this week to finish your decorations.

Official judging will take place JUNE 1 - JUNE 5. We have three non-biased judges (people who do not own or work for any downtown business) who will make their determinations for 1st through 5th place prizes.

Even if you do not get your decorations up in time for the competition - I would like to encourage everyone to still show some American Pride for the upcoming Cherokee County America 250 Heritage Festival which will be 4PM-Dark on Saturday, July 4th.

Part 1/2 of the windows I finished up last week at Julie’s Place in Murphy, NC 🍓🐝

This set was such a fun one to work on, especially getting to paint the strawberries and fuzzy little bees. Thank you to everyone who continues supporting my art and allowing me to keep creating. 🎨

Hey everyone, hope you are all having a good Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Today is a time to remember and honor those who gave their lives in service, as well as the families who carry that loss with them. My heart goes out especially to those who are grieving loved ones or living with the lasting impact of those sacrifices.

Memorial Day began in 1868 as a tradition of placing flowers on the graves of fallen soldiers. It is a quiet day of remembrance, gratitude, and reflection.

I hope we can all take a moment today to slow down and remember the meaning behind it.

On a personal note, the recent rainy weather has given my window art a short pause, but I am still around and planning new designs. I am looking forward to getting back to painting soon and sharing more when the weather clears!
