Blue Springs Historical Society

Blue Springs Historical Society All volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are hoping to have most of the depot renovated by spring.

The Blue Springs Historical Society is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 1976 to preserve and pass on the rich history of Blue Springs. Financial support for the Society comes through monetary and in-kind donations, grants, membership dues, and fundraising activities. The society has three
buildings in its care that need regular maintenance and upkeep: the Dillingham-Le

wis House Museum, the Chicago & Alton Hotel, and the Chicago & Alton Train Depot. Some additional financial support still needed to complete. The hotel is still in need of a great amount of funding to start renovations. Only building open to the public right now is the Dillingham-Lewis House Museum. Organized to maintain community involvement in the historical districts of Blue Springs, MO
based in the Dillingham-Lewis Historical home at 15th and Main Streets.

Those 74 individuals laid the groundwork for preserving and sharing the rich history of our community, and we are proud to continue their legacy today.
