TGIF - and happy Memorial Day weekend, the official start of summer. These "All American Beach Babes" are kicking it off at the beach in their red-white-and-blue dresses, celebrating Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. . It's only six weeks until the 4th of July and the 250th birthday of the USA, so let's start honoring the ideals our Founding Fathers - and Mothers - established at the birth of our country. Put out your flag. Be fair. Be kind. Practice gratitude and tolerance. Have some potato salad. Break out your white shoes.

TGIF - I'm sending some "Mermaid Love" your way today. This painting is currently on exhibit at the Art League of Hilton Head
Gallery. We visited there last night before the performance of "Hairspray: The Broadway Musical" at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina. Both are in the same building on Hilton Head Island. If you haven't been - GO! I've seen live theater in some big venues over the years, but this little theater is fantastic. Tracy Turnblad, Link Larkin, Edna and Seaweed and Motormouth Maybelle and all the cast - such energy and talent. Like a mermaid, I've always been a fan of big hair - this production rocks it!
