Aspiring to learn to oil paint, there is still time to register with the Sonoma Community Center for my course, "Introduction to Oil Painting: Unleashing Colors and Creativity". Whether you have never painted with oil paints before or if you have other painting experience and want to learn to handle the medium of oil paint, join this course and learn how it can be used as a non-toxic art media. This course meets at 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Fridays starting September 22.

Two paintings recently finished in the studio. The first is "Vineyard Alley" 12" x 18" oil/LP, and the second is "First Summer Evening" 11" x 14" oil/LP. Both were revisited after the original painting sessions. Paintings often stop for a rest in the studio before becoming ready for those final touches. Enjoy.

I was very honored to learn that my painting had won the Marin County Fair Plein Air Competition with First place and Judges Award. The title is "YOYO" after the ride that would swing people around high up the air and drop them down again.

This is the demonstration painting completed in the Alley Gallery for my art show exhibition. Sonoma Mtn Vineyard Alley, 12" x 18" oil on linen panel. Tomorrow is the last day of the exhibition at the Alley Gallery. Come see this fine art and take home a painting.

The Alley Gallery Art Show of luminous landscape oil paintings continues through Memorial Day weekend in Sonoma, California closing May 29th at 7:00 pm. This will be your last chance to see many of these beautiful paintings.

The framing, then the hanging, the Vella cheese platters were ready, the Jarvis chardonnay was chilled, invitations sent out, receptions enjoyed, the Alley Gallery Art Show is open. The show can be seen at the Alley Gallery of the Sonoma LaHaye Art Center through May 29th. Come by and see the show.
