A Year of Neckties—a Tribute to Ken Keep’s Exuberant Spirit of Collecting��The art show titled “A Year of Neckties” November 9th from 12:15 to 3 PM, celebrating the extensive necktie collection of the late Ken Keep, a long-time member of UUSF. Textile artist Sue Fox was inspired to create “Quilted Tapestries” from the over 2,400 neckties in Ken's collection after hearing heartwarming stories about his life and contributions to the community. The artwork is categorized into three series: larger pieces for walls or beds, colorful “Pillow-Pops,” and themed “Dancing Neckties,” all reflecting Ken's spirit of generosity and joy.��In a spirit of collaboration, Fox has committed to donating 100% of the profits from the sale of these artworks to UUSF’s Ken Keep Kindness Fund, supporting the community's mission to help one another. The exhibit title signifies the 52 weeks Fox dedicated to this project, and she plans to continue creating art with the remaining ties. Attendees are invited to meet the artist at the opening and participate in a workshop on November 22nd to learn more about her creative process.
