Everything changes, nothing stays the same. This is particularly evident in old European towns and cities where centuries pile on top of each other, their wise shadows from the past intermingling with the present... There, each building, with thousands of love-and-blood stories to tell, leans toward the ground to share a whisper… The “Storybook” series is an ongoing collection of those whispers. An interesting shadow pattern, echoes of Alice in Wonderland from a long gone childhood, a red dress, elegant calligraphy on a door, a gargoyle above, an open window… so many life stories to imagine! As an accomplished artist Oana Lauric plays with colors, light and textures, while as a trained architect she explores, virtually without limitations, the impact of the built environment on our psyche. Oana’s objective is to signal the power of our built surroundings and raise expectations in their regards.
