If any of our followers have any pictures of Union Pacific or Norfolk Southern Locomotives please send them to our friends at the Union Pacific Railroad.

Calling all rail photographers! 🚂 We’re looking for standout images featuring both Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern locomotives as we share the vision behind America’s first transcontinental railroad.

Whether you captured them on the same consist or crossing paths while delivering the goods that keep America moving, we want to see your photos.

Submit your image to [email protected]. If we use it, you'll earn a special The Great Connection challenge coin.

Every 3 hours in the U.S., a person or vehicle is hit by a train. Safe choices can help prevent track tragedies. Always expect a train, cross only at designated crossings and stay off the tracks. See Tracks? Think Train!®

A few weeks ago we went to the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum to look at their bay window cabooses for reference photos for our restoration. Our Public Relations head Cynthia Buetow also brought her daughter Valerie with us and she loved it there as much as we did. Valerie didn’t want to leave when it was time to go. In the coming weeks if nothing changes you should see some changes on our project.

One train passing doesn't mean another one isn't coming. Multiple tracks may mean multiple trains. Always expect another train. Never go around gates. Cross only when the gates are fully raised and the signals have stopped.

On the field. In the stands. At the crossing. Keep your eyes up. It's game day. Whether you're heading to the stadium, out to a watch party, or catching the match at home, remember the trains are running too. If your route crosses tracks, stay alert, stay off your phone and cross only at designated crossings. Trains are quieter and faster than you think. See Tracks? Think Train!®

Do you know the Blue and White sign? Know what to do if your vehicle gets stuck or stalled on the tracks.

Get everyone out and far away immediately. Look for the Blue and White sign. Call the number on the sign and give the crossing number.

NO SIGN? CALL 911. See Tracks? Think Train!®
