In the midst of the chaos of the past week, I was so blessed to meet a true American hero. Lewis Reid is a 91 year old Korean War Veteran. I was hired to photograph him for a magazine who is doing a special piece on his life of service. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, a world wide Catholic organization that does so much for the communities around the world. Mr Reid has been delivering American flags to veterans families for 50+ years. He has sometimes been to 4 funerals a day to do this ministry. He says he will keep doing it as long as God continues to call him to it! He's seen a lot in his lifetime and is still so young at heart. His friends say you can find him at the VA hospital where he is a daily volunteer, helping and visiting people there and always bringing a smile:)
