Churned this quick oil pastel sketch out today. Started with grey toned paper. My phone camera gives this more chroma than it appears IRL. I want to someday paint in oil a similar image.

It's Friday night and I'm mentally exhausted. It's been one heck of a stressful week for my day job. I just got done watching my bank account go from a decent balance from a paycheck to down under $500 after paying October bills. My bank account is tired too, apparently. 🥹 BUT... I'm trying to keep my chin up.

I had designs of picking up my two newest paintings from Art Warehouse tomorrow from being scanned but it seems some Isaias-dude is going to show up uninvited tomorrow and ruin the whole day. BOOOOO!!!!!!

Maybe this is just an opportunity to slow down, chill out and create some , start a new painting or.... maybe nothing at all. The constant drum of busy-ness is unyielding.

The good news is.... *drum roll [hahahaha]* is that I did finish my Boston Autumn Sunset painting on Wednesday night's livestream! I am excited because I'm really pleased with it. I am waiting for the oils to dry, then it too will get scanned. Then all of these paintings can be signed, varnished and posted to my website. I will announce when they go up.

In the meantime, if you've read this far and like my art, allow me to reward you with an October discount code WELCOMEFALL20 for 20% off all posted & in stock originals and prints. You can use it once, so make it good! Just click on my website in my profile bio to go shopping!

Played in my artist "sandbox" last night.
Tried Gel printing for the first time. I had some successful prints, some less so, and others still need work.
But it was fun!

I revamped my About Me page (link in profile bio 👈👆).

Additionally, ICYMI, I linked last night's Livestream on my Home page. Watch the replay of my progression on a Boston sunset.

Please be sure to also visit my two newest blog entries when visiting my website on how to vote for your favorite titles of my two newest paintings. Voting closes at 10pm EST on Monday night!

More updates forthcoming! 🎨🫟
