The George & Barbara Bush Foundation was proud to support the Bush Family Classic earlier this week in Maine, benefiting Gary’s House—a home away from home for families with loved ones receiving medical treatment in the greater Portland area.

Our CEO, Alice Gonzalez Yates, joined President George W. Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush, alongside an incredible group of participants, including Foundation supporters Brian and Addison Conner; Board Chair Hap Ellis; extraordinary LPGA professional Michelle McGann and her talented niece, Blair McGann; and Kerrington and Monique Johnson, proud members of both the Texas A&M Football and NFL families.

It was especially meaningful to see so many young people participating alongside today's leaders in support of such a worthy cause. The Bush Family Classic was a great reminder that values like compassion, service, and community are passed from one generation to the next.

We were thrilled to welcome nearly 400 visitors to the George H.W. Bush Presidential Center for this year’s Bush Birthday Celebration—a free, family-friendly event honoring President and Mrs. Bush’s enduring legacy.

This year, we were especially proud to spotlight Mrs. Bush’s passion for family literacy through two special story hours featuring an incredible lineup of guest readers. From student-athletes and university leaders to community partners and even Texas A&M University’s beloved mascot, each of our guests helped share the joy of reading with children and families across our community.

We couldn't be more excited to partner with Texas A&M University and Haas Factory Team to honor President George H.W. Bush's legacy of service during NASCAR San Diego and the U.S. Navy's 250th Anniversary celebration at Naval Base Coronado this weekend.

From his service as one of the youngest naval aviators in World War II to his years as Commander in Chief, President Bush's example continues to inspire generations.

In celebration of the U.S. Navy's 250th Anniversary, NASCAR makes its way to Naval Base Coronado. At NASCAR San Diego, the No. 41 will honor the legacy of the 41st president of the United States, George H.W. Bush, a naval aviator whose courage shaped a lifetime of leadership.

Texas A&M and Haas Factory Team proudly present a new livery celebrating the values Bush embodied and Texas A&M upholds: service, character, duty and selfless commitment.

Today, on what would have been President George H.W. Bush’s 102nd birthday, we remember a life shaped by courage, duty, and service to country. From becoming one of the youngest naval aviators of World War II to serving as our nation’s 41st president, he answered every call with humility and an unwavering commitment to something greater than himself.

Pierce Bush, grandson of President and Mrs. Bush, and Texas A&M President Susan Ballabina laid a wreath at his gravesite this morning in tribute to his extraordinary life and enduring legacy.

Leaders from the George H.W. Bush Presidential Center were also in attendance, including Alice Gonzalez Yates, Chief Executive Officer of the George and Barbara Bush Foundation; Dawn Hammatt, Director of the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum; John Sherman, Dean of The Bush School of Government & Public Service; and Sec. Andy Card, member of the George & Barbara Bush Foundation Board of Directors.
