Heritage Arts Center Association - HACA

Heritage Arts Center Association - HACA HACA is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and encouraging the performing and visual arts throughout the communities of Pasco County. H.A.C.A.

Vision:
The members of the Heritage Arts Center Association have a vision of a vibrant cultural community that will serve as enlightenment for our youth and as a magnet to attract patrons of the arts. Cultural development begins with creating an appreciation of the arts through children’s programs, local theater performances and visual art exhibits, creative workshops, acting guilds and talent sc

holarships. Its natural progression includes a visiting artists' series, semi-professional productions, a film series and possibly a school of fine arts. The Association sees itself as a promoter of artists, performing groups and events -- lending its support and collective talent to others. As a registered non-profit organization, 501(C)3, the most vital service The Association can perform is to be the catalyst for the building of a performing and visual arts center. Mission:
Heritage Arts Center Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and encouraging the performing and visual arts that enhance the cultural environment of our communities. History of HACA:
A handful of Dade City residents gathered together in the summer of 1983, all sharing the belief that East Pasco County has a great need for a performing and visual arts center. Over the years that goal has continued to inspire the organization in its efforts. The Heritage Arts Center developed in only one short year, from the dream of a few, to a working, incorporated, not-for-profit organization of some 300 area members. It sponsors such activities as the popular "Spotlight on Talent" contest for young people. In 1997, the 1st "Moonlight and Ivory" Concert gave our area an elegant evening of performances by talented local musicians, resulting in the purchase of a concert grand piano for the community's use. Enthusiastic response demanded this become an annual event. has produced through the years several theatrical shows, including the memorable "Oklahoma", staged on the grounds of the Pioneer Florida Museum. Other efforts have included art exhibits and festivals, dance recitals, children's theater productions, the "Arts Express" chartered excursions, and a Shakespeare Festival. This organization seeks to be a foundation and support for area groups such as Center Stage Players community theater, and Arts in Motion, the children's theater. Won't you join with us in seeking to make East Pasco an even lovelier place to live, by supporting and encouraging the performing and visual arts?
