Situated on the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the lower Appalachians it is the southern terminus of the AT. Listeners and musicians alike enjoy the acoustic bluegrass and old time string music at the Dahlonega Appalachian Jam. The Jam gives traditional mountain music players the chance to get together and celebrate the kind of music that has been performed in the Appalachian Mountains for ge

nerations. Visitors enjoy an afternoon and evening (even a few days) of fun with downtown Dahlonega's extensive dining opportunities and linger for some great shopping at the 65 retail stores in the downtown area. The 2017 Jam will be from May 6th-October 14th on the Gold Museum Lawn.

Thank you to everyone who made this year's Dahlonega Appalachian Jam such a success! The Appalachian Jam season has come to an end, but it sure was fun. Appalachian Jam will return next year for all your favorite North Georgia tunes!

Hope you can make it out from 2-5pm this beautiful fall day in the North Georgia Mountains for the last Dahlonega Appalachian Jam of the season. Next weekend is Gold Rush Days. You can avoid the rush. The Buzzard Mountain Boys (J-Bob & Z-Bob) are hosting. I know them boys and they’s pretty good and good looking too! Enjoy your holiday season coming up and we’ll see youins next April.
