Professor Tera W. Hunter, Princeton University’s Edwards Professor of American History and Professor of African-American Studies, will serve as the keynote speaker at the unveiling of the William B. Gould statue this Memorial Day weekend.

Professor Hunter is a specialist in the 19th and 20th centuries. Her research focuses on gender, race, labor, and Southern histories, all issues that intersect with the story of William B. Gould and his wife, Cornelia Reed, who was also enslaved in North Carolina before being purchased out of slavery by a church on Nantucket.

The ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 28th, at 1:00 at Gould Park, 34 Milton St. in East Dedham. Please join us!

Construction is underway! Mark your calendars for May 28th.
