"Surrender"

Sometimes the only place left to look is up. I wanted this to capture the feeling of being overwhelmed by a circumstance or emotion. A feeling of being completely enveloped in something larger than oneself, like being swept away, drowning in a vast ocean. Yet knowing that the only hope of being rescued is by the one who walks on water. This is the transition of giving up the fight of having one's own way and allowing God to move in His timing as we begin to rest in the knowledge that He WILL respond to our every need and we will in fact not die! We are now in a space of dependency on God alone, which is the most powerful space you can be in despite the fact we are powerless. In our weakness, His strength is made manifest!!!

Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

"Garden of Peace"
5"x7" acrylic canvas board

Not sure who this word is for but I had the strongest urge to push through my fatigue tonight and try to express in paint...the peace that comes from Jesus alone.

The dove in the painting is a reminder of the peace we can access right now as we set our eyes on Jesus instead of our storm.

The painting itself may be small, but the message is loud and clear. The voice of God is not always the loudest voice, as we must quiet our flesh to hear what is said in the spirit, but His sheep know His voice!

One day...what you are going through right now on your worst day of your worst season...WON'T MATTER!

Jesus says, "My child, you will never remember this moment in time ever again!"

One day, as a child of God, all that has caused pain and suffering will come to an end. Leaving behind only joy and all that is good!

Wake up, Child of God, to the realization of how very temporary this life here on earth is.
