My name is Daniel Nilsson and I am on a quest to bike absolutely nowhere, while knitting, suspended in the air. In these times of madness, destruction and existential angst, I strive to make everyone's day a bit more surreal, surprising and hilarious. You shouldn't have to hunt it down in a gallery or pay to see it in a museum. Art should shake you out of your day-to-day routine, at least for a mo
ment, and remind you that you are alive. Art should show you that you have choices in the creation of your day and that the possibilities are endless. I constantly get asked: "Why?" One response I have is: "Why not?" It is harmless, non-destructive and not offensive. I have no political agenda, nor am I asking for money. I daily ask the same question about how I am told to live my life: "Why?" "Why would I want to spend my time trying to look a certain way, act a certain way, fit into the accepted norms of society, and strive towards a 9 to 5 desk job?" I look at society and I ask: "Why?" "Why is what I am doing considered so strange?" "Who made these boring rules?"
It makes me happy, relaxed and excited. It gives me an adrenaline kick and makes people around me happy; at least some of them. If you want to join me, or know of awesome places to hang out, let me know!
