We are excited to introduce you to our newest ceramic artist, Hanmade Pottery! - H A N M A D E pottery

Meet Hannah Bourgault, a Twin Ports based artist crafting functional handmade pottery inspired by the natural world. Hannah starting working with clay in 2012 and found the Duluth MakerSpace when she moved to Duluth in 2020. Hannah’s art is fun, expressive and each piece is one-of-a-kind. Hanmade Pottery is made with love in Duluth, MN.

At our Lakeside location, visitors often say “What’s back there?” 👀
When they ask we know they are referring to the space behind the shopping area. Did you know there’s a whole creative world happening in the back of Siiviis Gallery in Lakeside?

📷 In the rear of the gallery, first you’ll see Duluth MN Brand & Real Estate Photographer studio, where brand photography including, headshots, video, and other creative projects come to life.

🎨The very back of the house is also home to Siiviis Gallery Fine Art Print Shop, giving artists the ability to have beautiful, museum-quality Gliclée digitized and printed right here in Lakeside.

So when you visit Siiviis, you’re not just stepping into a gallery, you’re stepping into a working creative space where art is made, photographed, printed, and brought to life.

There’s something a little magical about Gruchalla-Rosetti Pottery.

For more than 30 years, Richard and Carrin have been creating distinctive Raku pottery, each piece full of color, texture, and character. Hand-building “lumps of clay” and hand-glazing their surfaces, copper wire details, and their unmistakable vessel forms make these pieces impossible to overlook.

As Richard puts it, “Raku is like alchemy. It’s like spinning straw into gold.”

Patty Sampson: Patty Sampson considers herself fortunate to have grown up on Park Point with Lake Superior in her back yard. A sewing course when she was a young teen opened the door to her love of sewing. Owning a custom dressmaking business in Florida and then in Duluth meant that Patty could turn her passion into a career. 

In retirement, Patty has turned her sewing skills into designing unique art -to-wear pieces for women. She spends happy days in her studio playing with fabrics while listening to audiobooks.

Patty brings a love of handcrafted textiles, thoughtful design, and the art of making. Her work celebrates the beauty in something made by hand, pieces with character, creativity, and a story woven into every detail.

Some pieces in the gallery carry a little extra meaning and Cary Lane’s Lucky Cups are one of them.

We first discovered Cary’s work through our beloved friend and former Siiviis team member, Kat, who knew her from art school in Chicago. Kat had a beautiful way of spreading joy, often sharing four-leaf clovers as tiny reminders that a little luck and kindness can go a long way.

To honor Kat’s generous spirit, every Lucky Cup continues that tradition of giving. 25% of every Lucky Cup sale is donated to local non-profit organizations, supporting those impacted by domestic violence.
