💙 Community Update on Parvo & Our Commitment 💙
Our community needs rescues—and good, honest ones. The truth is, parvo happens. No good rescue would ever knowingly adopt out a sick puppy, and that is absolutely the case here.
At the recent adoption event, one rescue unknowingly had puppies that were exposed to parvo. These pups had even received vaccinations, and there was no indication of illness at the time of the event or their adoptions. It was simply one of those heartbreaking realities of rescue work.
We want to reassure everyone that no Tails of Love dogs were exposed, and neither were the dogs from the other rescues present at the event last weekend at Cal Ranch.
When we learned of the situation, Tails of Love did what we always do: we stepped up to help. We are working side by side with GDRQ - Good Dog Rez-Q to raise money for medical care and to provide support however it is needed—financially, emotionally, and through community action. Angela at Good Dog has been completely transparent with adopters and the public, and we want to be clear: she and her team are good people doing their best for the dogs who need them.
Rescue is not easy. It is full of challenges, heartbreak, and unexpected moments like this. But rescue is also about community—coming together, lifting each other up, and making sure the dogs always come first. That’s what Tails of Love believes in, and that’s what we will always do.
We invite our community to join us in supporting Good Dog Rez-Q during this difficult time. Together, we can help these puppies get the care they need, and we can show what it means to stand behind good rescues, good people, and the animals who rely on us.
Thank you for standing with us. ❤️🐾
