The Artist Social is a free event that aligns with Garrison Art Center’s mission of fostering the arts in our community. It provides networking opportunities for our Artist Members in a professional gallery setting. We look forward to seeing you! This is a free event for Artist I and II Members. SUMMER POTTERY IS BACK AGAIN!*

Summer Drop-In Pottery allows you to attend 4, 6, or 8 of our drop-in pottery classes this summer, taught by one of GAC’s Pottery teaching artists. Each class is 3 hours long, and 3 different time slots are available each week. Drop-in pottery classes will begin July 5 and run through August 23.
There are 3 class times a week: Sundays 2 - 5 PM, Mondays 6 - 9 PM, and Tuesdays 6 - 9 pm.

*The Summer Drop-In Pottery classes are only available to students who have been enrolled in a Garrison Art Center adult pottery class in 2025 or 2026.

Come dye with us on Saturday, June 27, in the most captivating hue —blue! Join Garrison Art Center during Upstate Art Weekend for a hands-on indigo dyeing experience. Dip and dye just for fun or try a Japanese Shibori technique! We can't wait!

*Bring natural fiber items to dye, 2 MAX — $10 per item

FIGURE DRAWING AFTER HOURS AT GAC
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24, 6 - 8 PM

Join Garrison Art Center for a two-hour figure drawing session with a live n**e model. Work from a series of short poses and enjoy wine and seltzer as you settle in for an evening of focused creativity. This is an independent, open studio-style session—bring your own materials. A limited number of easels will be available.

This event is only for individuals 21 years of age and older.

Visit us and view 'Rover', a new exhibition by Visiting Artist Mara Baldwin now until Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Mara will give an Artist Talk on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 3 PM where attendees will have an opportunity to hear directly from the artist about the ideas that shape the exhibition, gain insight into her creative practice, and experience the work in conversation with the artist herself.

The Artist Talk is free and open to the public. Join us for this special opportunity
Gallery hours: 10 AM – 5 PM, Tuesday–Sunday.

This project is made possible through a Support for Artists Grant by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

smallWORKS: Deadline to apply, Tues., June 30

smallWORKS, 'Looking Out From Within,' returns to the galleries at Garrison Art Center this fall, inviting artists to consider artwork as a passageway — a frame through which we glimpse something beyond. Presented alongside INSCAPE / OUTSCAPE in the Balter Gallery, a curated exhibition drawn from The William Louis-Dreyfus Foundation, this year's smallWORKS takes inspiration from that show's meditation on how environments shape our ways of seeing and being in the world.
