This is the most intricate frame up I’ve ever done. Due to being from and for my personal collection, there was no real timeframe for completion. I would work on it little by little and nearly 3 to 4 months later it was completed. 100 % hand painted and distressed frame, fabric and hand painted fillet, with suede bottom mat. Perfection all around!! 👌

This piece turned out completely different from what I originally had in mind.

I always like to get a sense of where a commissioned piece will be displayed in the customers home once completed. Things like decor, wall color, and overall style of the home directly dictates how a project will turn out. When asked, this customer stated her decor and style was "definitely 70's/retro". I immediately thought about the red corduroy couch we had growing up. Although I was an 80's kid, that couch was from the previous decade! That couch, in all it's ill-faded 70's glory, was the inspiration behind this one.

I think this Of The Trees Red Rocks frame up exudes the 70's/retro vibe perfectly. Everything is hand painted with a hand wrapped corduroy top mat.

This 2019 Dead & Company VIP Summer Tour print by Emek was voted poster of the year in 2019 on Expresso Beans. I started this project well before the print was in hand.

Was going for a more simplistic look with this one. It contains two hand painted, non-beveled top mats with a darker blue, beveled bottom mat. It took a while to dial in the proper color selection as I was looking for a combo that was pulled from the print but complemented the frame as well.

This project was completed the night before we headed to Hampton, VA for Goose’s annual Christmas themed show(s) known as Goosemas. A lot of firsts with this one. This was the first Goose print done by the legendary artist, Jim Po***ck. This was Goose’s first time paying at Radio City Music Hall and the first time Trey Anastasio joined the band paving the way for a TAB and Goose Duo Tour in the following months. This print marks a defining moment in not only Goose history but in music history as well.

Coincidentally, Po***ck was one of the artists selected for this year’s Goosemas run in Hampton. I was fortunate enough to run into him the first night. I was able to speak with him briefly and snap a pic before Goose laid down, arguably their best show of the year.

Given the significance of this print, I took my time putting it together. It is 100% archival with a hand painted top mat, 3 black core accent mats for depth and finished UV protectant glass.

I have always loved this print by James R Eads Art. It is titled "The Plateau Forever Ago". Released in 2019, this high quality giclee was screenprinted using three separate layers and is adorned with Eads' somewhat signature gold leafing. Due to Eads unique style and the symbolism in which the majority of his prints contain, he has been the most collected artist by myself for the better part of a decade.

This frame up took a little longer than most but very enjoyable to put together. It contains a custom, hand painted frame that nicely compliments the gold leafing in the print. The top mat is hand-wrapped fabric with three hand painted accent mats. I really love the dark and bright color variations in the artwork which was the motivation on the frame and mat color selections.
