The Museum of Outdoor Arts is now accepting applications for its 2026 Design and Build Summer Internship. This annual opportunity invites undergraduate and graduate bound students to collaborate on temporary public art projects for MOA’s Marjorie Park.

All materials and tools will be provided, with a generous project budget of up to $10,000.
Students are provided with a paid stipend of $5,625 plus an additional $300 to be used for parking/public transit.

⏳✍️ Design and Build Competition proposals due April 26, 2026!

The Museum of Outdoor Arts announces its 7th Annual National Design and Build Competition, inviting undergraduate students, graduate students (recent graduates are eligible to enter for up to one year from competition open date, post graduation) and interdisciplinary teams in art, architecture, landscape architecture, design, and related disciplines to submit conceptual design proposals.

1st place– $10,000
2nd place– $7,500
3rd place– $5,000
Honorable Mention- $1,500

This year’s theme, “Soundscapes in Structure,” challenges participants to design a state-of-the-art amphitheater bandshell that merges acoustic excellence with bold visual identity.

This is a paid internship program for the undergraduate and graduate bound level.

🚨 The Museum of Outdoor Arts is thrilled to announce our 2026 Design and Build Competition: “Soundscapes in Structure”! 🎶✨ This national student competition, open to undergraduate and graduate students, challenges emerging artists, architects, and designers to envision an innovative conceptual amphitheater bandshell for Marjorie Park that blends acoustics, aesthetics, and sustainability. 💡 Winners will share over $24,000 in prizes, with entries due April 26, 2026. ✨Join us this evening as we celebrate the culmination of the hard work and dedication of our annual Design and Build Summer Internship Program intern artists! 💪 The artist reception is tonight from 5 to 8 PM at Marjorie Park in conjunction with our Rock the Block happy hour event kicking off at 4 and featuring MOA DJ in residence Duke, who will be spinning some fresh beats. 🎶

We will also have refreshing drinks from our bar and delicious eats from the available for purchase.
