Dolly

Smithville Town & Country Quilters Guild

Dolly is a portrait inspired by Dolly Parton. This quilt was started in a class by quilt artist Luke Haynes. I was intrigued with the process of portrait quilts and discovered it was fun! I love layers and sew I added layers of fabrics to quilt body and edges. Then, I added layers of machine quilting in multiple designs. NExt, I added a layer of hand embroidery, pearl buttons and finally 3D butterflies, a trademark of Dolly. I hope you take the time to discover my layers.... And the cloth continues.
