Kurt Thornton, of Battle Creek History Museum, sent a few photos of Homer from his mother’s collection.

“I was just going through some more of my mom's stuff, and found these photos of the Homer Train station, and my grandparent's house at 101 Everett, my great uncle George French's 1844 notice to teach in Tekonsha, and a photo of his house in later years on the corner of Hamilton and Sophia.”

****VENDORS for Blair Farm Fall Festival****
Yes, spaces are still available.
The vendor fee is $20, no pre-registration. You can set up a canopy/table to reserve your spot on Friday afternoon and be ready to sell by 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Dee Camp, our president, will pick up your fee during the day.
No individually packaged food items are to be sold that would interfere with the food items the kitchen is selling, please. The festival is a fundraiser for Homer Historical Society.

If you’ve been to our Blair Farm Fall Festival you’ll recognize the Apple Shack. Built by our first historical society president, Mike Brockway, to feature selling our well-loved apple butter and Clem Camp’s famous Corn Cakes. We no longer make and sell the apple butter.
Through the years it’s been a favorite welcoming and visiting shack with Clem and his campfire coffee.
Be sure to stop by and say Hi to Clem this Saturday. He’s Homer’s best loved drama coach and corn cake and cowboy coffee chef.

Who remembers the M-60 Club? It was obviously a news headline at one time. Not sure what year it happened so maybe someone can fill in the blanks. Once the old Flying Saucer restaurant, now Renfro’s shop area east of Homer.
