The Cortright Mill burned in 2010 but lived a long life in Homer as a mill and later as True Grist Dinner Theater and as a haunted house before it was destroyed.
It holds good memories for many.

22 1/2 Mile Rd , 90 foot iron bridge built in 1906 is a forgotten gem in Homer’s history. Nearly covered up in brush now, I’m sure there’s a lot of good memories. Too bad it couldn’t have been moved to Historic Bridge Park or preserved in place as a walking path.

It’s almost time for our Fall Festival at Blair Historical Farm. Make plans to spend the day with us Sept. 26th.
Farm tours, wagon rides, lots of craft vendors, Clem’s campfire coffee and corn cakes, our famous Harvest Soup, brats, pulled pork and fresh baked pies. Bring the family, free admission.

Ever noticed this beautiful old home on the northeast side of Greg Barton Circle in Homer, Michigan?

I don’t know much about this one, but the architecture definitely caught my eye! From the unique window details and stonework to that incredible roofline and chimney, it looks like a piece of Homer’s past that deserves a closer look.

Homer’s downtown is part of the Homer Village Historic District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996 and includes historic homes and buildings dating back to the 1800s.

Does anyone know the history of this house? Who lived here, when was it built, or what was it originally used for?
