What a fun art install this was for us to complete. Our hand painted design above the toilet was breaking out of a gold frame and exploding onto the ceiling. The surrounding walls were covered with a stunning glass beaded pattern which complimented our painting. The floor was another level of sophistication with a beautiful marble tile and gold metal inlay design. A fresh and unique way of decorating a small powder room!!

I need to send out a huge thank you to all of you for the truly heartfelt and kind words and prayers that so many of you expressed right after hurricane Harvey flooding hit Houston. Until now it was difficult to read them all. It was easier to get up and keep moving forward each day. I was right, reading your beautiful words today made me teary. Though I am, as are many now, in a better place and so close to being in a finished home again. While the rebuilding is so far from over for so many here, we see progress each day. We have all learned so much about ourselves, our strengths and what truly is important. I know many of us have re evaluated our lives and what is important. Never has it felt more important to collect memories and moments, not things!! It may be some time before I am able to post works here for The Artists Hands. Though please see the works that have and continue to keep me busy with my other passion. More than 22000 followers now for the Artists Hands! Thank you all for the continued support of our works. We look forward to sharing more in the near future!! In the mean time, follow me here, and share in my other passion with me!! ###

My heart aches for all of Houston right now!! Our beautiful city and surrounding area's have been ravaged and devastated by hurricane Harvey. I personally lost both of my cars (completely under water) and my home on Sunday morning. It is the most shocking thing to walk away with a small suit case and look back knowing all you have worked for and valued in your home etc was just swallowed up by water. Even though I have experienced this tragedy that many of my clients, friends and Houston residents are also experiencing, I have encountered many surprises and blessings since Sunday. Never have I felt the generosity or heartfelt kindness of strangers at this level like I have since Sunday!! I am so great full to have been taken in by a friend and to have a comfortable home until I can figure out my next move. So many amazing souls are going beyond the call of kindness in Houston at the moment. I hope this continues, as all of Houston is hurting and needs some kindness and love right now!! We will rebuild Houston!! Be kind, be patient and keep your head up!!!

This is personally my favourite room we have just completed in the home of Debbie Drury!!! I have always been a fan of sophisticated black finishes. Excited to finally share the final pictures with you all now that the walls are adorned with the Swarvoski crystals and the room is completed. This room is stunning! So many different layers of textures that all marry together to produce this special creation. Debbie's unique copper penny floor further adds to this beautiful powder room.

A quick sneak peek at the walls of a wine grotto we have been working on for Debbie Drury. A congregation of angels!! We sculpted these abstract figures onto the walls. They were further enhanced with gold leafing and layers of distressed colorings. Looking forward to sharing the completed pictures with you all!!
