It’s literacy month, and here at Pretend City we celebrated today with Bookfest!! 📚

Today we had 5 authors come into the City and share their stories, as well as Irvine Public Library come to hep kiddos sign up for library cards 🥹

Together we talked about appreciating the things that make us different, the colors of our love, and being a small duck in a big world! 🤭🐤

We also learned some brand new kitchen words, and about Los Angeles architect, Paul Williams! There were so many new and different things we learned today. The lessons books can teach us are endless! Thank you to our authors and Irvine Public Libraries for joining us today. We had so much fun! 📖

We had so much fun making gummy bears together with our friends from Rady Children’s Health 🥣

Families explored using fruits and vegetables to make our favorite gummy treats. We tried new flavors, and spent meaningful time cooking and learning side by side.
