The best thing about Cornell is that no matter what you want to study, you have an environment that supports you in that field. Hotelies have the Statler. Premeds have the labs. Being a history of art major, you work with the museum. And HAMS is how we do that. Sharing HAMS with people is what makes me love Cornell.

So the History of Art majors society plans an exhibition that’s entirely student run every year. Part of that involves writing catalog essays for each piece. They’re really important because that’s what people take from the exhibition. We spend the whole year thinking about this exhibition and the catalog. Which needs funding of course.

Because of one small rule our funding got cut.

So this Thursday we’re trying to overturn that ruling. With a bunch of other clubs that have also had their funding cut. I really hope that all the clubs get their funding so that they can impact the campus in a great way.

For us its really important because we want to be able to show people that you can like art no matter what you study. And we need these catalogs to do so. So that’s why we’re working so hard to get the funding.
