Congratulations Ranger Nix! Well done!

Christine A. Nix made history when she became the FIRST African American woman promoted into DPS’ Texas Rangers Divison in 1994.

Prior to joining the Rangers, Nix started her career at DPS as a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper in 1984. She retired from DPS in 2004 after 20 years of faithful service.

This week, Gov. Greg Abbott announced she will be inducted into the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame later this year.
