I finished this painting for April’s opening at but it sold (👍) before it could be displayed. This one is titled “A Pale Light In The Blue” and was made with oil & acrylic on 30x40” canvas. This painting was an exploration of space and composition which was my take on modernizing a classical composition with an expressive twist. I am grateful for the new collector who purchased this piece and another new one that I haven’t shown yet.

We had the pleasure of speaking with Canyon Courier to discuss the gallery, the mural I painted, our monthly First Friday Art Openings and our wonderful neighbors here in Kittredge, Colorado.

You don’t have to battle the traffic and crowds on Denver’s Santa Fe Drive to get a more intimate First Friday experience.

Deep in the Grassland Reverie. This piece is all about the tension between the quiet moment and the loud, vibrating colors of the landscape. I used a mix of oil, acrylic, and pastel to get that specific grit and glow.

Happy to say that one of my latest paintings was just snatched up through to a new collector. I began this year wanting to focus more on loosening my style and to try to get back to where I once felt most comfortable. This little painting (11x14in) is titled “Sundown Stare” and was made using oil, acrylic & pastel on canvas and then topped off with a custom pink frame.

Finally setting this one free.
I started “Strangled” back in mid-2025, and it’s taken until now to feel like the last mark was made. Sometimes a piece just needs to sit in the studio and breathe for a while before it tells you what it needs.
There’s a lot of layers in here—literally and figuratively—from the weight of the oils to the quick, frantic energy of spray paint and pastel.
• Title: Strangled
• Size: 36 x 36 in.
• Currently on display at Western Exposure Fine Art

“Meridian”
20x20in | Oil and oil pastel on canvas.
There is a specific tension in that moment where the sky meets the sea, and the mind meets the horizon. For this piece, I wanted to explore that “high noon” clarity—using the structure of oil paint alongside the immediate, tactile nature of oil pastel.
I’m excited to share that this piece will be on display and available for purchase starting February 6 for First Friday at Western Exposure Fine Art.
Hope to see you there.

Better late than never! 🎨
I realized I never shared this commission from last year. I loved playing with the “unnatural” colors in this one—using vibrant pinks and electric blues to give a classic western scene a more contemporary, expressive energy.
There’s something about that candy-colored sky against the steady rhythm of the riders that still feels fresh to me a year later.
