What a KILLER freaking day!!!
Not only did I get to go fossil hunting with the awesome Fossil Recovery Exploration crew, but I also got to meet the one and only OMGITSWICKS himself! If you know Florida humor, then you already know 😂 “Glad I caught it on my flip phone” and “Only in Florida” had me cracking up all day.
But THEN… the last hour and a half of the premium dig turned absolutely insane. I hit a jackpot honey hole!!!
I filled my sifter not even realizing what was hiding in it until I started shaking everything clean. One single sift had:🦈 2 Megs🦈 1 posterior Meg🦈 2 big Hemis🦈 2 beautiful Hastalis
Then somehow… the VERY NEXT sifter was almost just as loaded!!! 🤯 After that, I completely cleaned the spot out 😅
And to top it all off… I officially found my NEW biggest Meg in my entire collection!!!
This tooth will forever be known as my “OMGWICKS Meg” 😂🦈
Days like this are exactly why I’m so obsessed with fossil hunting. You truly never know when you’re one scoop away from the find of a lifetime.
