A Japanese potter was asked about the sale of his pots. He replied he considered his pots his daughters. Because they were his daughters, he could not sell them. Instead, his pots were given as his daughters in marriage. When someone purchases one of my pots, I think of the transaction as a marriage in which my pots go to live with the purchaser in marriage. To live and serve her life with her spouse!
