As with any business, awareness of my artwork is spread by way of advertisements. These sheets show off the ships that my illustrations are modeled after, with each one describing an event that occurred on a particular day. The advertisements I have on hand show events pertaining to this time of year, and as the price of my artwork is constantly evolving, the exact price is left blank until they are in use, with the numbers being written in the livery of each ship's owner or operator.

A large portion of my artwork's purpose is to educate people about maritime history through the ships my illustrations are modeled after, whether famous or obscure. Just because you are unfamiliar with ships does not mean there is no room for learning!

Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond my control, I was only able to sell 45 ships last year, with exactly a third of them being named after the moons of the Solar System. Because of these low numbers, the most popular ship ended up being a five-way tie between the MV "MEMPHIS BELLE," the GTS "TITAN," the GTS "KEVACY," the MV "UTICA," and the MS "COPPER," which were each purchased twice.

This year, I will be delving into a new category that I have surprisingly never touched, given its popularity. But I will not say more, lest I spoil the surprise.

This is the Gas Turbine Ship "RHEA." She measures 850 feet in length, and is named after the second-largest moon of Saturn, which was discovered by Italian astronomer Giovanni Cassini on the 23rd of December, 1672. The "RHEA" and her sister ship, the GTS "IAPETUS," are modeled after the SS "CONTE DI SAVOIA," albeit with three funnels instead of two. Originally constructed for service with the Lloyd Sabaudo Line and launched in 1931, the merger of Italy's three major shipping companies the following year saw the "CONTE DI SAVOIA" instead operating under the Italian Line as the running mate to her would-be rival, the Blue Riband winner SS "REX."
