Oy Vey. Oil on canvas. 11x14.
Oy vey is a phrase that expresses grief, pain, frustration, or exasperation. I painted over my pretty one note painting and ended up frustrated, grief stricken and emotionally painful. My original inspiration was graffiti and I wanted to paint unintentional texture using a variety of paint strokes and scrapes to simulate weathered wood painted over with graffiti. Somewhere along the day , my heart and emotions took over. Oy vey!
