Signs of Life is a bookstore, art gallery, and espresso bar all rolled into a big wonderful place whose purpose is to be a blessing to the community. We opened our doors in March of 2003 with the intent to be a place where people could find good books, not just any old book, but books worth owning, thoughtful books, books that tackle big ideas. Our professional sales gallery represents artists who

want to present beautiful images - work that grapples with the mystery of life and finds reason for hope. Once you’ve engaged our books and art, you’ll need a place to sit down and discuss them. You can get all your favorite coffee and tea drinks, juices, soda, bakery goods, chocolate (mmmm!), and even kettle corn. It’s a calm and inviting atmosphere - you won’t find friendlier baristi anywhere. And you'll frequently find great live music for free.

Hey friends - need some help spreading the word, especially from folks with musical connections. We must sell this wonderful antique Steinway piano. It is their Model A and dates to 1894. It was apparently refurbished in the 1970s and sounds lovely. A full-sized grand at six feet long, it has been a focal point at Signs of Life bookstore/gallery/café in Lawrence KS for the past 20 years.

I have just lowered the asking price to $18,000. Any serious offer will be considered.

Please share this on social media and pass the word to friends who might be interested in buying or in helping spread the word. Thank you so much!
