At the end of the dragon’s tail, Scheherazade courageously weaves stories and words to change hearts while Hansel and Gretel embody the courage to support one other and venture into the unknown. Surrounded by mystical creatures along with tales from near and far, this portion of the window reminds us that Courage can take many forms from trusting imagination, telling the right story, and stepping forward when the path ahead is uncertain.

The Dragon section of the Courage panel reflects physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual efforts to overcome obstacles and challenges in the human experience.

Whether the struggle is to master the human mind, to become honest and authentic with oneself and others, to pursue an ideal, to overcome chaos, or to sacrifice for the greater good, stories of Sun Wukong, Aladdin, William Tell, Pinocchio, Don Quixote, Frodo, Vajra, Aslan, and knighthood lead the viewer to consider what inspires them to show courage and rise to the “dragons” they are called to face.

The Sphere of Light is so much more than a building.

It is taking shape through the hands of skilled artisans, who bring care, creativity, and purpose to each piece of glass. It will be a place where art inspires connection, light invites reflection, and peace finds a home.

Our hope is that each visitor leaves with a renewed sense of purpose and meaningful ways to bring more light into their own lives and the lives of others.

The Sphere of Light is a multi-story architectural landmark featuring over 10,000 square feet of extraordinary art glass that celebrates the creativity, courage, and connection that unite humanity. As sunlight moves through the building, these works transform the space throughout the day, creating an environment that illuminates the divine light within every human soul and inspires them to share it.
