See antiques and learn about the history of Lone Rock. Most all that have been donated by members of the community.

The Lone Rock Depot and Museum maintains a plethora of interesting exhibits showing the history of the Lone Rock Area businesses and residents. We have many artifacts and interesting exhibits of the era on display. One of our most prized possessions is the very telegraph key that was used for decades. We also have a refurbished baggage cart and hand car added in 2024. We are happy to be keepers of all this history and we are always in search of more unique items and memorabilia for our displays.

If you're thinking about purging or downsizing and have some antiques you would like to donate to the Depot Museum, we are looking for a few things.
For instance, baby items, baptismal outfits, bonnets, bibs, booties, shoes, small children's toys, tea party set, ladies hats, purses, antique iron, or toaster or even a small spinning wheel.

We had a wonderful little group from Homestead in Algona come for a tour of our Lone Rock Historical Depot and Museum. They also made their way over to the Blakjer Church and some of them even ventured over to check out the "Lone Rock".

Just want to give a big shout out to those who showed up for our showing of the Depot and the Blakjer Church on Saturday afternoon. I know it was hot 🥵 🔥 but we're working on maybe getting a grant for heating and air conditioning.Thanks again. We had a great time!
