+++++ And this is what Thomas Kinkade said about this work +++++

"Some homes just beg to be painted! This stately old Victorian stands on a prominent street corner in my hometown. I decided to turn the clock back to a Christmas Eve around the turn of the century and paint the house all lit up for open house festivities. The scene seemed so nostalgic that I couldn't resist painting a likeness to Norma Rockwell in the lower left-hand corner."

This is what Thomas Kinkade said about this work

Bridge of Faith

"For me, the world is enriched by images of faith. In my Garden of Promise series, I look deep into myself for those moments of revelation, of joyous acceptance, that comprise our common spiritual experience. Then I look out into the world to find visual images that reflect the truths of my walk with God.
The Bridge of Faith is old and worn, but it is built of stone and it rests on a massive, unshakable rock. It crosses a stream fragrant with flowers; on our side the world is shrouded in shadow, but in the distance there shines a heavenly light."

+++++ And this is what Thomas Kinkade said about this work +++++

"In my travels throughout America I've noticed that churches are often built on a hillside or knoll as a means of emphasizing their presence in a town, and I find this to be a particularly poignant concept. These hillside churches, like lighthouses, are high up, so that, figuratively speaking, their light might be seen from afar. I wanted to capture a bit of that feel in my painting, Moonlit Village."

About This Artwork

Since its opening, The Wizard of Oz™ film has captured the hearts and imaginations of millions of viewers. In Follow the YELLOW BRICK ROAD™, all of the great Wizard of Oz characters are captured as their journey begins down the fabulous Yellow Brick Road. Glinda the Good Witch looks on as the Munchkins merrily celebrate their newly gained freedom from the Wicked Witch of the East whose demise came from a falling house. Above "Munchkinland", the Professor Marvel balloon floats towards the Emerald City while Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion begin their adventure. And, of course, the Wicked Witch of the West looks on, watching their progress and hoping for an opportunity to capture the fabled Ruby Slippers.

The color and beauty of the Land of Oz have been elaborated in this masterwork using Thomas Kinkade Studios' signature romantic luminist style. Gorgeous flower beds line the Yellow Brick Road and the mountains in the distance are glowing with the warmth of the passing day. The dappling of light on the ground appears from the shadows as the sun bursts through the foliage of the trees. Dimension emerges and the image comes to life with these artistic effects. Join with Thomas Kinkade Studios and all those who love the fantasy of The Wizard of Oz in celebration of this exciting release.

About This Artwork - Thomas Kinkade

I remember seeing a painting of a similar subject in a church as I was growing up and the image has always stuck with me. Perhaps I realized then that this was my chance to create a composition reinterpreting this scene. Here we see Jesus strolling comfortably with Peter. In his hands, Peter holds the symbolic keys to God's kingdom. What truths and insights could they be sharing? How marvelous to have the chance to listen in on the kind and insightful words of the Savior as He patiently shares wisdom with those He loves.

This is what Thomas Kinkade said about this work

Beauty and the Beast Falling in Love

"Of all the Disney love stories, Beauty and the Beast is perhaps the most poignant. Beast’s true identity is a charming prince who is discovering love in the form of the beautiful Belle. In my painting, I memorialize that magic moment when they first begin to discover their love for each other. Many of the characters from the movie are present, including Belle’s father, Maurice - an eccentric inventor who soars overhead in his homemade flyying machine. In the distance, we see the village that is a central setting for many of the film’s most important moments. At lower left, we see the evil Gaston leading his parade of angry townspeople in search of the Beast. As in the movie, the wonderful characters of Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, and of course, Lumiere, feature prominently in the foreground.

As with every piece in my Disney Dreams Collection, I attempted to portray a panorama of the entire movie, rather than an individual scene. My desire is that the viewer’s eye would wander around the painting making discoveries in every corner of the image. A tradition in my Disney Dreams Collection is hiding characters from earlier paintings in the current piece and Beauty and the Beast Falling in Love is no exception. See if you can find Snow White, Tinker Bell, the mice from Cinderella, Pinocchio, and if you look carefully you’ll even see Bambi cautiously creeping around the corner of some foliage in the distance below the Castle. Beauty and the Beast Falling in Love represents, in my mind, my highest accomplishment so far in the Disney Dreams Collection. It is filled with detail…all encompassing over 600 hours of studio time.

The crowning achievement and the central discovery in the image is the sweeping sense of romance that is at the core of the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale. Here truly is unconditional love in its purest form. I hope you sense that love every time you look upon Beauty and the Beast Falling in Love."

+++++ And this is what Thomas Kinkade said about this work +++++

"Now I celebrate my own very personal childhood memories with The Old Fishin' Hole. As the first in a new series, this is a historic and much anticipated issue. But the reception I anticipate for the Old Fishing Hole stems from something more basic than that. This idyllic image of childhood reminds us of the simple pleasures of a summer day.

Fishing was one of our summer pastimes, and we all had our favorite fishing holes. Covered bridges like this one were rarities in the Sierra foothills, but it seemed, at least in our boyhood imaginings, that big trout gathered in the shadowy depths under those dramatic old bridges. The morning sun dapples the scene in the radiant light of memory."

About This Artwork ~~ Tom said

Before we ever began to build temples in His honor, God graced us with natural sanctuaries radiant with the light of divine love and peace. In the crowded and busy world in which most of us must live, there is little enough time to seek out the secluded treasures that give testimony to a divine presence in the world. As my Chapels of Nature collection unfolds, we will seek the presence of God in His lakes, forests, hills, and valleys.

About This Artwork

There are inspiring places I return to time and again. The English Cotswolds of the Cobblestone Lane series are one such favorite destination.

Throughout the series, I've imagined that our journey would end at just such a destination as we discover in Cobblestone Evening. We've come full circle with this classic English village; fittingly, our ramble ends at just that breathless hour when the plump trout are biting in the brook, and stillness wraps the land in a fleecy blanket of perfect peace. Cobblestone Evening ends one journey, but promises others.
