Last Day to view (at noon today)

The Dreamers” by July
48” x 72” | Acrylic and Oil on Wood Panel

The Dreamers is a meditation on faith, longing, and the fragile moment between inspiration and doubt.

This piece was born in the land of dreams. A realm of creation, imagination, and desire. July allowed herself to move freely through the process, embracing both the refined and the raw, the loose and the precise, the clean, and the obscured. It became a space where life and death, beauty and decay, ache, and hope coexist.

The inspiration comes from the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice - a love story bound by music, faith, and tragic hesitation. Orpheus convinces Hades to let Eurydice return to the world of the living, but only if he walks ahead without looking back. Just before they emerge into the light, he turns in doubt, and Eurydice is pulled back into the shadows of the underworld, lost forever.

This painting holds that moment: when doubt threatens to undo a vision.
Because creativity, like love, is delicate. It asks us to trust what only we can see. When an idea arrives, it chooses us. But if we hesitate, it may vanish - back into shadow, back into the ether.

The Dreamers is a reminder to believe
To hold fast to our visions.
To trust the dream, even when it’s unclear.

Because faith, in love, in intuition, in inspiration - is the bridge between what is imagined and what becomes real.

Join us one last time on our journey through time.
Echo Park Art presents "Timism" — a group exhibition honoring the moments we've shared, the time we've been given, and the time we'll hold apart… until we meet again.

Reception | Celebration
Saturday, July 26th
7:00 PM
Echo Park Art | 1729 Glendale Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90026

“Timism” is our most reflective group exhibition to date. This deeply personal and powerful theme was brought to life by the brilliant Jamie Risch, who envisioned an exploration of our relationship with time — whether it feels lost, fleeting, or infinite.

This reception marks the final chapter of a collective exploration — a heartfelt gathering to honor the passage of moments, the strength of community, and the time we've shared in this space.

“Heart of Djinn”
By July
36" x 48" – Acrylic and Oil on Wood Panel

In Heart of Djinn, July captures the timeless ache of love, memory, and longing through the immortal gaze of a genie. Inspired by a moment of deep eye contact — a fleeting glimpse into the vastness someone carries inside — this painting explores the weight our hearts hold across time: love cherished, love lost, and the stories etched in between.

Set against a vast, dreamlike land, the djinn emerges as both myth and metaphor — an eternal being cradling a single rose, a delicate symbol of tenderness, vulnerability, and memory. Letters scattered through the composition hint at lifetimes of longing, moments kept, and connections once lived.

This work asks: if our hearts were immortal, like a god’s, would we still risk loving, again and again? Or would the ache of loss leave us weary? Heart of Djinn contemplates that endless question — portraying the soul of a genie not trapped in a bottle but suspended in the in-between: holding out hope, holding out love.

This painting is sold. However, you can reach out and order a print.

“Timism”, our latest and most reflective group exhibition. This deeply personal and powerful theme was brought to us by the brilliant Jamie Risch, who envisioned an exploration of our relationship with time — whether it feels lost, fleeting, or infinite.

“Timism” invites us to look inward and outward:
Time is both constant and mysterious — it shapes us, stretches us, and slips through our fingers. It brings both comfort and chaos, marking growth, decay, nostalgia, and possibility. As artists, our connection to time is especially profound: it informs the way we create, the stories we tell, and the meaning we draw from the world around us.

From Dalí’s melting clocks to our own quiet reflections, time has always been our muse, our tormentor, and our measure. This exhibition is a celebration of that bond — and of this very moment in time we’ve shared together.

Which makes this announcement bittersweet:

After this show, we will be taking a hiatus and temporarily closing Echo Park Art. We’re packing up the space and taking time to rest, reflect, and plan for what’s next.

But before we go, we want to go out with one BIG and unforgettable night — and we want you there with us.

Final Reception + Celebration
Saturday, July 26th
7 PM – 11 PM
Echo Park Art
1729 Glendale Blvd.

Expect: immersive installations, live performances, music, and the magic of community coming together ONE LAST TIME (for now).

“The Rain is a Tender Song” by July
48" x 84" | Acrylic and Oil on Canvas

A deeply personal and poetic work, "The Rain is a Tender Song", invites viewers into an emotional landscape where rain becomes a metaphor for justice, healing, and transformation. July’s brushwork and layered textures break apart what needs breaking and lovingly tend to what longs for restoration.

It began as a quiet rendering in a journal—a sketch of the scale of justice. From that intimate starting point, the work expanded into something larger and more elemental. Rain here is not just weather—it is baptism. It washes away what no longer serves, leaving space for clarity, softness, and breath.

There is a hum that follows rain—a stillness that feels like beginning again. This painting holds that sound. It is a call for humbling, for listening, for presence.
