'The thing about Mike isn't just that he was a good fighter, it's that peopIe were absoIuteIy terrified of him. You can see it when you watch tapes of his fights, how tentative his opponents were, aImost Iike they were afraid to make him mad. The prefight interviews didn't heIp, either. Reporters were aIways asking scary questions: 'Are you worried you're going to get hurt? Have you thought about whether you reaIIy want to do this? Do you reaIize it's only a matter of time untiI Tyson kiIIs somebody in the ring?' By the time the opening beII rang, a Iot of his opponents were aIready toast. He wasn't just respected as a fighter, he was feared, and that probabIy contributed to a Iot of his wins. So even after he Iost the crown, Mike was stiII the guy you had to beat to prove you were the best. Even if you'd just won the fight of your Iife, it was aIlways the same thing in the postfight press conferences: 'What about Tyson? When are you going to fight Tyson?' Like it was more important than being champ. And in some ways, it was.'

Gene Simmons got a lot of flak when he announced a pricey new fan experience, charging $12,495 for a fan to be his "Personal Assistant and Band Roadie for the Day."

The Kiss co-founder explained his reasoning during a recent interview with the 'New York Post,' saying the concept goes back to his own childhood fascination with rock bands and what it's like behind the scenes.

“When I was a kid and went to see shows, I was always curious, ‘What’s it like when they’re in a hotel? What’s it like when the stage is set up? What’s it like being onstage when they’re performing and seeing the audience from the stage?’” he said, adding: “I decided, ‘You know what, nobody’s ever done it. Why not open the idea to be my personal roadie for the day?’”

He then gave a breakdown of what the day would look like. “You meet at the hotel where you have breakfast together or, you know, whatever floats your boat,” he said. “You ride with me to the gig. You can set up amplifiers and drums to your heart’s content. You’re onstage, right offstage to my right. You can video the crowds, whatever. And I pull you onstage to sing a song with me.”

Whoever purchases the package also gets to bring a friend and receives a bass signed by Simmons at the end of the night, but still, that's a lot of money to spend.

On April 19, 2016, a team of scientists confirmed what many already knew: Freddie Mercury had one of the most extraordinary voices in music history.

Researchers from Austria, the Czech Republic, and Sweden dedicated themselves to studying the legendary singer's voice. Dr. Christian Herbst from the University of Vienna published a study in the Logopedics Phoniatrics Vocology journal, stating: "The presence of subharmonics helps create the impression of a voice pushed to its limits, skillfully mastered. These characteristics, combined with a rapid and irregular vibration, may have contributed to the eccentric and theatrical persona of Freddie Mercury."

The scientists discovered that Freddie's vocal cords moved faster than others, vibrating at frequencies ranging from 5.4 to 6.9 Hz, even reaching 7.04 Hz, a frequency so high it made his throat vibrate in a way that even Luciano Pavarotti couldn’t replicate.

Mercury also mastered subharmonic singing, a vocal style that only the most experienced singers, like Tuvan throat singers, could perform, and he did it with impressive ease.

The conclusion was clear: Freddie Mercury possessed a unique voice in the world of Rock 'n' Roll, making him one of the most singular artists of all time. A truth we already knew: an incomparable and legendary artist!
