The Milwaukee - WI Chapter of The Links, Incorporated will be known for showing up to support, encourage, inspire and lend a helping hand to our sisters in the moments when no one is watching.

We recently got the chance to do just that with some of the women at the Convergence Resource Center. In the most unpolished, non performative, relaxing and relatable setting, we enjoyed lunch, shared stories and encouraged each other to continue on our journeys. It was just what our hearts needed for a Thursday afternoon.

Let this post inspire you to spend time with someone who’s working really hard to rebound from pain, trauma and grief. You never how much a listening ear and hug can encourage someone to keep going another day. 💚🤍

We recently had the joy of celebrating an unforgettable evening at the Milwaukee (WI) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated annual fundraiser at the Marcus Performing Arts Center featuring the incredible Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

The evening moved and inspired us all, honoring Alvin Ailey’s enduring legacy and the power of dance to uplift, connect, and transform communities. Most importantly, your support helped raise vital scholarship funds, creating new opportunities for young people to pursue their education and dreams.

We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, attendees, and everyone who helped make the evening such a beautiful success. Your generosity strengthened our community and made a lasting investment in the future of our youth. Special thanks to the Marcus Center for being such an exceptional host and partner.

We’re still reflecting on the powerful moments shared that night and are thankful for everyone who showed up to support this meaningful event. Thank you for helping make it all possible.

This International Women’s Day, Cheryl Muldrew McMurtry spent the day giving back and pouring into the next generation. Through the International Trends & Services Facet of The Links, Incorporated, she volunteered with Our Next Generation, a Milwaukee nonprofit dedicated to helping students grow in confidence, set goals, and dream big.💭

The day was filled with great conversations, mentorship, and goal-setting activities that encouraged students to think about their strengths and the possibilities ahead of them. Moments like these are a powerful reminder that investing time and guidance into young people can truly shape the future.

This week, the Milwaukee (WI) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated proudly unveiled our Black K.A.R.E.S. wrap in honor of Kidney Awareness Month — and we are energized about the impact ahead!

Through Black K.A.R.E. (Kidney Awareness, Resources, and Education) — a powerful partnership between Baxter International Inc. and The Links, Incorporated — we are bringing vital education, screenings, and resources directly into our community to help prevent and slow the progression of chronic kidney disease.

The Links, Incorporated joins the collective chorus mourning the passing of Rev. Jesse Jackson. As a civil rights leader, community organizer and presidential candidate, Rev. Jackson inspired generations of Americans to vote, run for office and lead at every level. His presence will be missed, but his impact remains.
