Today, we proudly celebrate the Berry College Class of 2026! 🎓

As you walk across the stage and begin your next chapter, remember that your Berry story does not end here — it stretches far beyond the Gate of Opportunity and into the lives you will touch, the communities you will serve, and the difference you will make in the world.

Throughout this year, we have celebrated the spirit of “Berry & Beyond,” and today you become part of that legacy. Carry with you the values of hard work, service, leadership, and compassion that make Berry so special.

The Daughters of Berry are cheering you on as you step boldly into the future. Wherever life takes you next, you will always have a home at Berry.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! 💙
Not to be ministered unto, but to minister.

The Old Mill was constructed on the Berry College campus in 1930 - what year did you first visit it?

At the time of its construction, Berry's Old Mill was one of the largest wooden overshot waterwheels in the world. It was built mainly by student workers and was used to grind Berry-grown corn into meal and grits. The wheel of the Old Mill had to be completely rebuilt in 1977, and in 1985 students and staff restored the mill, making corn grinding possible again.

This beautiful site is typically open for visitation from 9am - 5pm daily!

What a special evening for the Daughters of Berry! 🌿💙

We gathered tonight in the Garden Room at Oak Hill & The Martha Berry Museum for a wonderful time of fellowship, business, and an inspiring program. We were honored to hear from Dr. Jennifer Dickey, who shared her vision for the “Martha Berry’s Begging Trips” exhibit and the extensive research and dedication that brought it to life. As Daughters, we are especially proud to have contributed to the funding of the exhibit panels that highlight the many journeys Miss Berry took to secure support for her schools—truly embodying the spirit of Berry & Beyond.

A heartfelt thank you to Pat Jackson for providing the delicious refreshments that made our time together even sweeter!

During our business session, we also elected a new slate of officers for 2026-2028 who will be officially installed at our May End-of-Year meeting and picnic. We look forward to celebrating them and closing out a fantastic year together—more details coming soon!
